Smartphone: A device that combines a cell phone with a hand-held computer, typically offering

Internet access, data storage, e-mail capability, etc. [1].

Since 2007, when Apple released the revolutionary iPhone, there has been a whole new avenue opened up

as a flow of consumer's money. Consumer's annual spending on cell phones has risen from around $200 per annum in 2001, to close

to $550 per annum in 2006 and is still rising[2].

Firstly, the Consumer Behavior concept brand familiarity, loyalty, and insistence has developed in the smartphone market as consumers avidly support their most loved brand. The typical battle between Apple and Android.

These various brands have created brand communities which is essentially the grouping together of many people who are familiar, loyal, and insistant on the particular brand.
